Join us on this relatively short, but strenuous hike to Black Point. Experience the last of our green spring on the mountain as we climb through chaparral, and then down to a magical pine forest. We’ll see late season wildflowers and excellent views. We have some steep ups and downs on the trail, so bring poles if you normally use them, and sturdy footwear. Please bring liquids and a snack, and dress for the weather. The hike is about 5 miles round trip with a 1,200 feet of elevation gain. Pace will be moderate, but steady. Plan to arrive at the Mitchell Canyon Visitor Center at 8:45 am for a 9:00 am start.
