Please join the Mt. Diablo Astronomical Society for its September 12 astronomy program at the lower summit parking lot. This month’s topic is: Are You Solar Powered? – Discover the REAL power of the Sun. Arrive by 7 p.m. to safely view the Sun through telescopes. View planets, moons and stars after the sun sets.
Arrive early to safely view the Sun through telescopes. The program starts at 6:30 p.m. at the lower summit parking lot of Mt. Diablo State Park (enter the park at least 45 minutes earlier). Although there is no fee for this program, there is a park entrance fee.
Parking in the Lower Summit lots is limited and is First Come, First Served. If the lots are full when you arrive, you may park outside those lots, but please note:
a. Park ONLY in other designated parking areas or completely off the road.
