Please join the Mt. Diablo Astronomical Society for its May 16 astronomy program at the lower summit parking lot. This month’s topic is: Alien worlds – Learn how long it has taken for life to develop on Earth, and what conditions are needed to support life as we know it. Identify distant stars with known exoplanets.
Arrive early to safely view the Sun through telescopes. The program starts at 7:30 p.m. at the lower summit parking lot of Mt. Diablo State Park (enter the park at least 45 minutes earlier). Although there is no fee for this program, there is a park entrance fee.
Parking in the Lower Summit lots is limited and is First Come, First Served. If the lots are full when you arrive, you may park outside those lots, but please note:
