The House Wren is found in tickets and shrubby areas of open landscapes, woodlands, and forests.
Note faint eye ring. Indistinct barring on flanks and belly and buffy eyebrow separate it from other wrens. Gives a variety of harsh scolding notes; song is rich, rapid, and bubbly.
Nests in three cavities or even in bluebird boxes. Feeds on insects and spiders.
