Meet at the parking lot at Curry Point trailhead off South Gate Road.

We will begin our hike by heading to Rock City and then descend lovely Sycamore Canyon and heading toward the Black Hills and Oyster Point. From there we head down to Riggs Canyon. Our return includes the riparian Tassajara Trail, Bobs Pond, Windy Point and Balancing Rock. Wildflowers should be prolific. Allow 9 hours for this 14.5 mile hike with a total elevation gain of about 2700 feet. This hike has a steady relaxed pace with a 30-minute lunch and other rest breaks. There will be a few metal fences to climb over. Be prepared for mud and poison oak. There is no restroom at the trailhead. Any rain cancels. Note: permission has been granted from Save Mount Diablo to pass through part of its Curry Ranch property.

Sponsored by Mount Diablo State Park and the Sierra Club.
