Meet at the Mitchell Canyon Visitor Center at 96 Mitchell Canyon Road, Clayton, CA.

Had your fill of Easter eggs? Then come join us for a spring wildflower hunt on Mount Diablo.

Mount Diablo is a Bay Area floral hotspot, and we are sure to find some rare and not-so-rare spring bloomers as we hike. We'll share stories of early botanical pioneers, explain how the flowers come to be named, and describe early uses of native flowers and plants. Don't be surprised if we spot some native (Easter) bunnies along the trail. This is an easy to moderate hike of 4 miles roundtrip with just a few hundred feet in elevation change. Rain cancels.
Bring water, snacks, dress in layers, and wear good hiking shoes. Bring poles if you normally use them.
