Mountain Talk: Liam O’Brien: Butterfly Basics

Thursday, March 8 at 7 PM - 9 PM
Ygnacio Valley Library, 2661 Oak Grove Rd., Walnut Creek 94958

Award-winning Bay Area lepidopterist Liam O’Brien will remove some of the mystery and intimidation of butterfly identification. All five families of butterflies will be covered as well as the all-important host plants (the ones butterflies lay their eggs on). O’Brien will share many beautiful pictures along with valuable information about how our species relates to theirs. He’s a self-taught butterfly conservationist and received the 2014 “Environmental Educator” Award from Bay Nature Magazine.
