| The 70 birds treated in this book represent those
species that have, at one time or another, been identified as "Abundant",
"Common", or "Uncommon" by observers within the Park. The
sequence of the species accounts in this book follows the order established by the
American Ornithologists Union. Every species account includes: Common Name,
Status in Park, Size, Photographs and Natural History Account. After observing a bird in
the Park, you will likely find it in this booklet by quickly browsing through the
photographs. This booklet was written by John C. Robinson. He worked for over 25 years as a wildlife biologist and professional ornithologist for the US Fish and Wildlife Service and US Dept. of Agriculture. He has authored four book. |
