Common Mammals of Mount Diablo State Park MDIA’s
recently released full-color brochure, Common Mammals of Mount Diablo State Park,
describes 13 interesting mammals found in the park. In addition to showing a photo of each
mammal for identification purposes, the brochure includes a short description, habitats
where they are found, their territory and/or home range, their occurrence, food habits,
and life cycle. Several mammals common in the park, but rarely seen, are also briefly
mentioned. There is no charge for the brochure if you download the PDF file from
the MDIA website. Printed 14” x 17” folded color copies are sold at the
Summit and Mitchell Canyon Visitor Centers for a nominal amount. Printing was funded by a
