Excerpt from "MINING CORRESPONDENCE": COPPER MINING ABOUT MOUNT DIABLO.
The work goes steadily on, and in a number of claims the owners seem to be on the eve of realizing a full reward for their labor. Very fine specimens have been shown us from Mount Zion, and we learn that the company have several tons of ore sacked ready for shipment. The Keokuk, Last Chance, and a number of others, including the Hall claim, in Alamo District, have obtained the most encouraging results thus far.
